Well, my friends are just as crazy as I am because we all got to work right away.....introducing EVE RISING. We've achieved a lot of press through countless hours on the phone and emails and hanging posters all over the state. The buzz is that this event is a "local Lilith". We've got12 of the most amazing female fronted bands I could have ever imagined. We've got Mayor Fiorentini, Miss Massachusetts 2010, The River 92.5, Mampalooza, psychic readers hosted by Circles of Wisdom, hula hoopers, face painters, food, maybe even beer!! I'll get back to ya on that! LOL. All we need now for a successful event is YOU. Your presence. The groundwork is laid for a fabulous show, and we need you and your families and friends to make a day of it and enjoy the festival. This could be the most significant thing I've ever tried to accomplish. So I'm asking you to please make the effort to help me out. Elle]]> Mon, 19 Apr 2010 07:25:00 GMT 82011B48AC75D24CE45C0D44FC216AC9 http://ellegallo.com/ellesblog.cfm?feature=1268778&postid=201217 The Spring has sprung here in Massachusetts and after a long winter's rest I'm feeling lighter than ever!  I thank you for your patience during my time off from live performances and appreciate your emails of excitement about our upcoming spring and summer shows.  I spent my "vacation" loving my 3 beautiful cherubs in front of a warm, cozy fire; enjoying my man,  getting to know and perform with some of the areas greatest musicians, making magic with my beautiful sistahs, reflecting on the last year and setting personal and professional goals for the new year, and writing new songs.  It's been a fast winter (thank Goddess, this is the first time in my life that I'm not coming out of a dark haze in march-WHAT A BLESSING!!) and I'm so excited to start recording the new CD.  It's about love, it's about hope, it's about injustice and change.  it's about you and me and the human experience.  The tunes range from light, jazzy uplifting songs of easy happy love, to the deep, dark sides of humanity that are uncomfortable to talk about.  There are grooves and there are backbeats, lilting violins and heart wrenching B3 organ...These songs have been written in times of growth and in times of despair.  I cant wait for you to hear them!!  peace, Love and Music!  I wish you warm breezes and sun on your face!
